To provide participants with teamwork and diversity skills to enhance classroom instruction. This course is designed for participants to familiarize themselves with teamwork and diversity through "hands-on" and experiential approach. Instruction will focus on group/team development, communication styles, leadership styles, goal setting, personal challenge, and the dynamics of diversity. Problem solving and recognition of the value of a diverse work team will be emphasized throughout.

The Web Development for Beginners course covers the creation of web sites from start to finish. Students will build two complete web site projects during the course: one as a group utilizing topic and raw materials provided by the instructors, and a second topic of his/her own choosing. Students will work with HTML code in Macromedia Dreamweaver and digital image editing in Adobe Photoshop. No prior knowledge of these topics is required. Course will also examine Postal Service regulations for internal web sites. Offerings for this course will be scheduled based on Wait List entries.

This course is designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSH Act may be implemented in the workplace. Rights and responsibilities under the OSH Act, the appeals process, and record keeping are covered. OSHA's general industry standards and an overview of the requirements of the most frequently referenced standards will also be addressed. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are authorized to conduct both a 10-hour and 30-hour Voluntary Compliance course and to issue cards to participants certifying course completion.

Intro to Networks/Security for Managers and Supervisors is a 6-day course designed for non-technical management personnel who must interact with their technical staff. The course introduces the basic terms and functions of networks. Hands-on lab activities help to reinforce what you have learned. Lectures will discuss the data flow from an internal desktop computer inside the organization to an external server. Emphasis will be placed on the resources required to adequately secure those communications. Practical examples will be used to illustrate common threats. The ramifications of failing to secure your network resources will be examined through a case study presentation.

This course provides students with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to install, configure, troubleshoot, restore and recover Microsoft server and client computers. This course also provides extensive daily labs in the areas mentioned above on Windows NT Server, 2000 Professional, 2000 Advanced Server, XP Professional and 2003 Enterprise Server utilizing built-in and 3rd party applications. The labs, lectures and activities are based on the U.S. Postal Service implementation of these devices and technologies in relation to administration and mail processing. The course format provides anywhere from 2-3 hours of lecture, 4-5 hours of labs and 1 hour of self-study daily.

This course covers principles of operation on the computer controlled engine and emission systems found in 1997 through 2000 OBD II vehicles. Course content includes troubleshooting, servicing and repairing electronic systems circuits and components, use and interpretation of test equipment, analyzing engine performance, and driveability diagnosis.

An intensive hands-on resident course using industrial components. Students study basic theory, learn to read the unique symbols and circuit diagrams, and how to safely handle adjustments and replacements in hydraulic and pneumatic sub-systems. Class days begin with a daily review, activities, and/or a question and answer session. Then students study at individual computer stations to learn new material in a self-paced CDROM format. This course covers basic PLC ladder logic instructions and basic programming techniques utilizing Allen Bradleys RSLogix software.
