Network Troubleshooting Basics

Network Troubleshooting Basics is specifically designed for individuals with some, little or no networking experience. Students will obtain hands-on training to identify network problems, evaluate solutions and make repairs. Various editions of the Microsoft Windows Operating System used, including Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Participants will troubleshoot over 27 network problems by using a network map, software utilities, link lights and various cable testers.

Network Infrastructure Cabling-Copper & Fiber

This course is administered by BICSI certified instructors and provides a combination of lecture and lab to present training material. Students participate in hands-on labs, including termination of 2-pair Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) and 4-pair Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cables, utilization of punch down tools to terminate type 66 terminal blocks and type 11 terminal blocks, identifications of color codes for 2-pair, 4-pair, and 25-pair cables, along with testing and troubleshooting.

Network +

If you have a computer network at your work or facility, think about the impact on your business if the network were to fail or perform poorly. This could be due to poor network design or maybe a malfunctioning device such as a network interface adaptor, network switch or router. Network+ provides students with the key fundamental concepts of networking technology needed to maintain and troubleshoot equipment in a locally maintained computer network.

This course uses CompTIA A+ training materials, taught by CompTIA certified instructors, to provide students with the knowledge necessary to become proficient in core computer principles for hardware components and operating systems.
