| Course Description:
This External (XTNL) Electrical Arc Flash course is developed for and delivered to (non-Postal) personnel. Electrical Arc Flash training is a requirement of the NFPA 70E Standards guide, for all employees that work on or around electrical equipment which could potentially result in an electrical shock. These requirements are enforced by the Occupational safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Companies across the nation are providing this training to their employees to insure a safe working environment and to assure OSHA compliance. |

standards and the hazards associated with electrical installations and equipment.

| The Industrial Hygiene course is designed to provide the student with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate and control environmental factors or stresses in the workplace. This course explores basic concepts of industrial hygiene and occupational health hazards. Physical, chemical and radiological health stresses of the individual environment: sources, effects, measurement, evaluation of control and exposures are studied. This course will cover the general concepts and principles of industrial hygiene with direct application to workplace environments. Direct topic coverage will include: common health hazards, air contaminates, biological hazards, an introduction to air quality, noise, respiratory control, ventilation, hygiene sampling equipment/techniques, and related standards. |

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are authorized to conduct both a 10-hour and 30-hour Voluntary Compliance course and to issue cards to participants certifying course completion. |

Performing Safety Inspections (19Q0104)

| The Performing Safety Inspections class is designed to teach Postal Safety personnel how to conduct internal safety inspections in USPS facilities. Students are taught the USPS inspection process using the tools available from the Safety Toolkit. Mock facility inspections will be conducted. The students will go through the actual inspection process from start to finish with a final inspection report and recommended corrective actions being created.
In addition to USPS inspection policies, the formal OSHA inspection process will be taught which will allow students to understand what to expect should OSHA Compliance Officers come to a USPS facility. |
