World Class Reliability
Description
World Class Reliability is a comprehensive process that integrates production, operations, procurement, engineering, and maintenance into a team focused on reliability and life-cycle cost. This course will focus on process development and the managerial skills required to administer an effective and efficient maintenance organization. Students will learn: • To measure the elements of their facilities • Determine maintenance costs • Provide guidelines related to maintenance cost • Provide guidelines related to maintenance performance • To understand the elements of maintenance support to meet capacity assurance • Learn step approaches to sustain continuous improvement This course is centered around the Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM) Review Book offered by The Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE). The CPMM Exam is offered in conjunction with this course on Friday afternoon of the second week. Business casual is the appropriate dress in the classroom for this course.
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Measure key elements in manager's facility.
- Identify reasons why maintenance programs fail.
- Determine the cost of maintenance.
- Dispel myths, perceptions, and misconceptions of ''quick-fix'' or reactive management programs.
- Provide guidelines that can be used to implement, sustain, and assure continued world-class maintenance performance.
- Develop an understanding of the integration process between elements of maintenance support to meet Capacity Assurance.
- Determines effectiveness and efficiency of resources and the tools to effect change.
- Provide a step-by-step approach to implement and sustain continuous improvement.
Target Audience
- Personnel in maintenance management positions holding a manager title (MM, MMO, MMOS, MFMO, etc.) or other maintenance management positions such as MES. Employees holding the title of Senior operations personnel are encouraged to attend.
Course Completion Requirements
Passing this course requires the student to: attend all training days and participate in all required tasks.
Pre-requisites
Maintenance supervisor level positions are eligible to attend. Supervisor must have served a minimum of two years within the position.
