Vehicle Air Conditioning Systems
Description
This course is designed to address various repairs and diagnostic procedures that are relevant to vehicle air conditioning systems. Upon completion of this course, participants will take the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 609 exam for certification in compliance with vehicle A/C systems.
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Familiarize technicians with vehicle A/C systems and controls .
- Properly evacuate and recharge a vehicle A/C system.
- Diagnose A/C system performance complaints.
- Locate A/C systems components.
- Describe component operation.
- Attain the EPA Section 609 Clean Air certification through the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Refrigerant and Recycling Review and Quiz.
Target Audience
All vehicular technicians.
Course Completion Requirements
Passing this course requires the student to: attend the full 3-day course as well as complete the online ASE Refrigerant and Recycling Review and Quiz.
