Value Stream Mapping
Description
This Value Stream Mapping (VSM) course teaches the method of an end-to end approach to minimize waste and resource usage by examining the production flow from raw material into the arms of the customers. The VSM tool is grounded in scientific methodologies which provide you with a standardized approach to see the sources of waste in your value streams.
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Map the Current State through an exercise.
- Understand the Future State, and map the Future State through an exercise.
- Future State Analysis and Drawing.
- Understand the VSM Plan and implementation steps.
Target Audience
- External customers, such as manufacturing and plant managers, production control managers and supervisors.
Course Completion Requirements
Passing this course requires the student to: attend all training days and participate in all required tasks.
