Description
Instruction covers theory and practical applications of Infrared Thermography compliant with American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) level 1 certification standards. Training includes instructor led classrooom lecture and discussions along with instructor led and open participation student investigative labs.
Test covers theory and practical applications of Infrared Thermography compliant with American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) level 1 certification standards. Testing includes written and practical examinations.
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Describe the basic theory of thermography and its application.
- Perform hands-on use of thermal imaging equipment.
- Understand the concepts of infrared imaging that apply to predictive maintenance or specialized applications.
- Understand the elements of proper image acquisition and documentation.
- Document finding and write effective reports.
Target Audience
- This course is designed for personnel who use Thermographic cameras and equipment for predictive maintenance, medical, and/or other applications.
Course Completion Requirements
Successful completion of this course requires 40-hours of attendance and passing written and practical examinations. Tests cover theory and practical applications of Infrared Thermography compliant with American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) level 1 certification standards.
