Hydraulic and Pneumatic Fundamentals
Description
This course provides intensive hands-on training utilizing industrial components related to hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Students will learn to safely work with fluid power systems, to identify components, to read schematics and to improve equipment efficiency. The emphasis will be on safety, while receiving 4 days of hydraulics, 4 days of pneumatics with 3 hours of hands-on lab activities per day.
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Theory and operations of hydraulic and pneumatic components & systems.
- Knowledge to work safely with fluid power systems.
- Student will learn to identify components by name, function, application, and symbol.
- Will gain the ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Ability to Improve equipment efficiency.
Target Audience
- Anyone working on Vehicles, Processing and Building equipment, or HVAC. Most equipment uses some form of fluid pressure sub-system (hydraulic/pneumatic.) -Control systems -Forklifts -Dock levelers -Dumpers -Automatic doors -Pneumatic tools -Compressors -Brakes -Transmissions & Jacks -Processing Machines -Heating and Air Conditioning
Course Completion Requirements
Passing this course requires the student to: attend all training days and participate in all required tasks.
