Elevator Equipment Seminar
Description
This course provides training for supervisors and managers, with responsibility for directing or overseeing maintenance on elevator systems, with knowledge of the basic technology, maintenance, code and inspection requirements for elevators.
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Recognize and describe the installation requirements that dictate the use of different types of doors and gates on a freight elevator.
- Understand the proper installation procedures for freight elevator door systems.
- Identify the components that make up the door system and the function of those components in the system.
- Adjust and maintain the door systems to the standards of the applicable elevator code.
- Adjust and maintain the door systems to manufacturer's requirements.
Target Audience
- Supervisors and managers with responsibility for directing or overseeing maintenance on elevator systems.
Course Completion Requirements
Successful completion of this course requires 112-hours of attendance, completion of all guided labs and achieving a score of 70% or greater on the written exam.
Pre-requisites
The following course is recommended as a prerequisite: Industrial Electrical Service (Course #5568705).
