A+ Computers
Description
This course uses CompTIA A+ training materials, taught by CompTIA certified instructors, to provide students with the knowledge necessary to become proficient in core computer principles for hardware components and operating systems. Students will receive intense hands-on training on the following: • Computer architecture, design, and layout • Use the internet to design, spec and price a computer, component by component • Fully assemble and disassemble a computer • Install and configure windows • Run benchmark tests on various systems to compare performance to cost ratios • Learn to use various diagnostic software utilities
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Disassemble and then reassemble a working computer.
- Identify the architecture, function and location of individual computer components.
- Understand the basics of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Load, configure and optimize the Microsoft Windows operating systems.

- This course is beneficial for anyone involved with the installation, upgrade, troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware and software.
Course Completion Requirements
