Advanced Programming of Allen-Bradley PLCs
Description
This course builds upon the knowledge gained in the Basic Allen-Bradley Programming course. The course provides an in-depth coverage of advanced Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) ladder logic programming: Shift registers First In First Out (FIFO) & Last In First Out (LIFO) manipulation Sub-routine and interrupt routine management Math and Messaging (MSG) instructions) This course also covers project development tasks: Organizing a project Organizing data Configuring modules.
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Given a functional specification, utilize Allen-Bradley RSLogix500 advanced PLC ladder logic instructions and techiques to develop or enhance a program to meet specifications.
- Utilize Control, File, Math and MSG instructions, to create sub-routines and interrupts to better manage the scan cycle and logic flow.
- Understand, utilize and control the PLCs Processor Status Data to predict and counter programming and system anomalies before they can result in a Faulted processor or produce an unstable control system.
Target Audience
Maintenance personnel working with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Course Completion Requirements
Passing this course requires the student to: attend all training days and participate in all required tasks.
